Abamasagi lake is well known for its trophy walleye fishing and it is not unusual to catch 100 walleye in a day. With plenty of weedy bays, it also produces plenty MONSTER PIKE 30plus lbs. caught annually. Because of its deep fishing holes, Abamasagi Lake also produces huge lake trout at the north end of the lake and guests have caught many 25-30 pounders. The Kawashkagama River flows in and out of Abamasagi Lake giving outdoors man the opportunity to catch fabulous colored brook trout in the spring. This lake is ideal for the angelers with it's numerous creeks and rivers, plenty of shoals, islands and rocky points.
